Synthetic Clean Fragrance Oils are engineered for stability under heat, producing fewer unpredictable compounds during burn. They offer the widest scent variety — including beloved aromas like coconut, chocolate, and maple — and deliver a strong, consistent throw.
Essential Oils are plant-derived and offer genuine aromatherapeutic benefits, but tend to have a subtler hot throw and can produce Volatile Organic Compounds when burned. For therapeutic use, a diffuser may serve you better than a candle.
Plant-Based Natural Fragrance Oils bridge the gap. They are synthesized exclusively from natural plant isolates, not petroleum, and offer stronger scent throw than essential oils without the petroleum byproduct concerns, though they come at a premium.

Scent Variety
Many of the aromas we love most — coconut, chocolate, maple syrup, sea salt, amber — simply don’t exist as essential oils, or exist only in quantities too small and costly for candle use. Clean synthetic oils open up the full palette of scent without compromising on safety standards.
Predictable Burn Behaviour and Byproducts
Clean synthetic fragrance oils are engineered specifically for heat stability, delivering consistent scent throw and predictable combustion byproducts. Essential oils don’t always blend well with wax and can separate or evaporate unevenly during burning. Some — including eucalyptus, lavender, tea tree, and citrus — can release irritating compounds when ignited. IFRA-certified synthetic oils undergo rigorous safety testing to meet international standards, giving you a cleaner, more consistent burn every time.

A Note on Pets
Animals are far more scent-sensitive than we are. Always ensure ventilation and give pets a clear exit to an unscented space — cats in particular lack the liver enzymes needed to process Volatile Organic Compounds efficiently.
